The AMVER Awards Ceremony took place on Tuesday 14th December and was organised by the International Propeller Club Port of Piraeus in cooperation with the U.S. Coast Guard and the United States Embassy in Greece. AMVER provides a worldwide safety network to assist search and rescue coordinators in responding to emergencies at sea. Suzanna Laskaridis, Director of Laskaridis Shipping Co. Ltd., accepted the award for our vessel MV LAMBAY that received a special rescue award for the rescue of eight persons on a drifting boat 22 nm offshore in the Alboran Sea on 12th September 2021. Laskaridis Shipping with its participation in the AMVER system demonstrated once again that is strongly committed to maritime safety and will always consider a priority to assist in search and rescue activities at sea. |
